Green Socialist Youth / Students
Today's young people are the ones who will pay the highest price for the criminal abuse of our planet taking place in the name of globalised capitalism and corporate profits. That is why the AGS sees today's younger generation as the key to building a movement which can bring about changes in our political and economic system before it is too late.
The AGS is seeking to develop Green Socialist Youth groups around the country. The AGS is an alliance made up of individual members and also of affiliated groups - it is not a centralised political party. This means that Green Socialist Youth groups can either be part of the AGS itself or they can be independent organisations which affiliate to the AGS and join in and support its campaigns while also mounting their own independent activities.
The AGS has substantially reduced membership subscriptions for low-waged and unwaged people (which includes students). There is also a model constitution for Green Socialist Youth Groups which can be posted out to anyone interested in setting one up.
